I used to go from southern England via Stranraer but that has been stopped as a viable option. The problem with arriving early in the morning is that hotel check in is not till 3 pm.

My late soul mate Jonathan Henry Lee ( Feeder's drummer ) wanted me to be on the beach with him ,especially where a waterfall is in the national park near by ! Childhood promise I didn't keep ! Once I went to St. Andrews and I got a little bit spooked by the mechanism

We did that walk two years ago, you have taken the (follow the Acorn) route. The other one is steeper, over the cliffs. Starts off on the hill leading into Saundersfoot in the housing estate. The walk down to the beach is a short cut and only accessible at low tide. Great walk though.

Thanks for showing something of what we missed when we were there in early Sept last year, when the weather was dreadful the whole week (bar one day) - cold, grey, windy and wet! Not walking weather at all. But something to look forward to next time!
